The Victron VE.Bus Smart Dongle is a versatile two-in-one device that combines Bluetooth connectivity for Victron inverter/chargers with voltage and temperature sensing functionality. Compact and easy to install, it is the ideal accessory for those who want to monitor, control, and optimise their power systems directly from a smartphone or tablet.
Key functions:
1. Bluetooth monitoring & control – Acts as a wireless interface for Multi, MultiPlus, MultiPlus-II, MultiGrid, MultiGrid-II, Quattro, and Phoenix VE.Bus inverters. Using the free VictronConnect app, you can:
- Monitor AC and DC parameters
- View device status, alarms, and warnings
- Adjust the AC input current limit
- Switch between On, Off, and Charger-only modes
2. Voltage & temperature sensing – Functions as a voltage and temperature sensor for all compatible inverter/chargers. This ensures safe and efficient charging, especially for lead-acid and lithium battery banks, and allows integration with VE.Smart Networking.
3. Instant Readout feature – Displays inverter/charger key data directly in the VictronConnect device list without needing to connect. Provides at-a-glance diagnostics, including warnings, alarms, and error notifications.
Additional features:
- Flexible system integration – Works with single inverter/chargers, parallel units, and 3-phase systems.
- Optional external temperature sensor – Can use either its built-in sensor or connect to an external one for precise monitoring.
- Great alternative to larger displays – Ideal for caravans, motorhomes, and smaller yachts where full GX devices (such as the Cerbo GX) may not be necessary.
